DSE PTA September News

Hello Tiger Families!  As a PTA, our goal is to support and strengthen Dripping Springs Elementary, and to ensure that each student has the opportunity to reach their full potential. It will take all of us (moms, dads, grandparents, and community members) to back the future.  Our PTA members help determine the programs made available at DSE and how funds are allocated.  PTA dues are $10 annually and I invite you to become part of that process.  Join now

Class t-shirts are based on the house color of each classroom.  Students, parents, and staff wear the shirts for school field trips, house meetings, and to show school spirit!  Deadline to purchase class t-shirts is October 1.

“I Matter Because” is the 2020/2021 Reflections theme.  Encourage students to start thinking of ideas to enter into this national art program.  They can enter in one or more of the categories: photography, visual arts, literature, dance choreography, musical composition, and film production.  Completed entries can be turned in at the DSE office October 26-30. Download rules and entry forms.

Although some DSE PTA programs and events have been put on hold during the current health crisis, the PTA never stops planning and preparing initiatives to enrich our students and support DSE staff.  Your knowledge and time are wanted and needed.  Please find something that interests you that will work for your time availability.

Distance Learning Yearbook Pics
Be sure to snap pictures of your kiddos during distance learning!  This is part of their year and we want to document it in the 2020/2021 yearbook.  Download the “Balfour Image Share” app, add our project number (120093), and create an account to easily contribute photos at anytime during the school year.  Photo contests coming soon!

Cool Cat Cash Store
If you have been cleaning out your closets and saving items for the Cool Cat Cash Store over the summer we can still take your donations.  These items can no longer be accepted in the DSE office.  Please contact the Cool Cat Cash Store to schedule a drop off time with PTA.
