A Message From the President

Happy February!

So many things are happening this month beginning with the book fair. Our lovely volunteer, Alicia Putman has been working countless hours to make the book fair a success. She is our volunteer of the month for February, thanks so much for your dedication.

Spirit stick sale is Friday during lunch, send in your $’s!! Lots of new sticks to choose from!

Look for the Save Around book to come home in your child’s Thursdayfolder next week! Hundreds of $ of saving at the nominal cost of $20 to you. To purchase, enclose a check or money order in provided envelope and send back with your child.  If you choose not to purchase just send the book back to school with your child. All proceeds will benefit  your child’s classroom and education!

Jump Rope for Heart is also going on also, and the Mad Science night is February 18th!
Valentine’s Day parties will be February 12, please ask your child’s teacher for more information.

Math Stars is still going strong.  Continue to encourage students to participate in this voluntary math enrichment program.  Volunteers are working diligently to provide and grade Math Stars weekly, and the math puzzles are interesting and provoke thinking about math in different ways than your student may have thought of before. Keep up the good work!

This year’s theme is Peace, Love, and Books, and we want you to groove on over to shop or help or both.  The Fair will be February 8th-12th in Room 310.
If you would like to volunteer to help with set up, previews, class shopping, or clean up, please sign up by following this link.
If you just want to come on by and check out all the exciting books, we are open from 7:45 to 3:45 Monday through Wednesday, and we will be open until6:00 on Thursday for Family Night.  And, Friday, we’ll be open during school hours if you want to come by before or after your class Valentine party.
If you can’t make it by the actual fair, your child just HAS to have a book we’ve run out of, or your grandmother out of town wants to shop too, you can shop ONLINE, and the funds will still go toward our fair.  Just follow this link starting on February 3rd  to find even more choices.  Shop online here.
Thanks and Happy Reading!
