End of 2020-2021 School Year

We made it!  This history-making school year has had countless challenges and we all had to work a little harder at every step.  Thank you to each family and staff member – our village is AMAZING!

We are grateful that this school year ended with a little more flexibility in regards to volunteers/parents being allowed on campus.  PTA provides so many additional enrichment programs/events and next year we need help planning and implementing. Review the DSE PTA volunteer opportunities and see what works for you.  Time commitments vary depending on the role.

An extra PTA meeting has been scheduled to approve the PTA 2021-2022 budget.  The meeting will be on Friday, May 28, at noon through zoom and all members of PTA are allowed to vote.  Please join the conversation and learn more about what PTA provides.

Congratulations to our 5th graders moving on to middle school!!  We are so glad that they got to celebrate their accomplishments by having an awards ceremony and walking with DSHS seniors.

More congratulations are in order because at the senior awards ceremony, DSE PTA announced our newest scholarship recipients.  Congratulations to DSHS seniors, Emily Bergeron and Kaylin Whitaker.  DSE PTA is proud of our past DSE students and each year we grant two DSHS seniors a $500 scholarship.

This past year, we’ve had regular updates regarding how to keep our families healthy and safe!  Here’s the latest Healthy Living Lifestyles Newsletter.  Summertime means more ice cream, but doesn’t have to mean less healthy activities and food.  Stay active and keep eating healthy, DSE!

Speaking of staying healthy, DSE has the chance to get a $2,500 germ fighting kit!  If you haven’t ordered your school supplies order by 5/30 to help us qualify!

Have you filled out our 20 question survey?  It provides us feedback on your experience at DSE. It’s available in English or Spanish and the deadline is 5/30.

Make sure you stay in touch over the summer and follow us in our social media groups – Dripping Springs Elementary School PTA on Facebook, DSEPTA on Twitter, and @dseptatigers on Instagram.

Have a wonderful summer!
