A Message from the President

I don’t know about you, but I am ready for Spring – Good Bye to Winter, please!Our next Principals’ Coffee will be Friday, March 13, at 9am, at the request of middle school parents.  Please join the discussion in Room 310 to learn about campus and district happenings.Spring Break will be March 16 – 20 and let’s hope for wonderful weather!The Dripping Springs Education Foundation Denim & Diamonds event will be held Friday,March 27.  This is a great evening and opportunity to raise funds for our district and have those funds stay in our district.  For more information and ticket prices, please go to their website.  www.dseducationfoundation.org. Five candidates have filed to run for three positions on the DSISD Board of Trustees.  The top three vote-getters will be elected.  Biographies of all five candidates will be available on the DSISD website soon.  www.dsisd.txed.net/election PreK & Kindergarten Registration will be March 24 and 26, at the Administration Building from 8am – 6pm.  Parents should bring proof of residency, child’s birth certificate and immunization record; as well as child’s Social Security card and parent’s photo ID.While still a work in progress, don’t forget to check out our new and vastly improved website.  www.dsepta.org  You will find past newsletters, and a link to the proposed changes for our by laws and standing rules.  We will be voting on these changes, as well as our new DSE PTA board members at the April 29 meeting.Stay dry, stay warm and be safe; and I’ll see you in the halls.

Save the Dates

 *Saturday, April 11 is the Annual Father/Daughter Ball.  This annual event is open to little girls ages 4-12, plus younger siblings, and is sponsored by Denise Ladner.  More information can be found on the DSISD website.  Go to Community Services on left toolbar, then Online Registration, and click on Community Programs, then General Interest and you’ll see the third option is the Father/Daughter Ball.  Early Registration ends April 4, and all couples must be registered by April 9.  There are no walk-ins allowed for the ball and photo packages are available when registering.

*May 1 is the annual DSE Talent Show ! 
Talent show sign up sheets will be sent home in Thursday folders April 2nd.  They are due April 10.  This year’s theme is “Drippin’ with Talent!  Here is the schedule:

Try outs- April 15-16th   5-7pm

Rehearsals- April 30th 6:30pm

Talent Show- May 1st 6:30pm
